I found this in the Readers Digest... "SOME RULES FOR THE AIR"
*Every takeoff is optional. Every landing is mandatory. *When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. No one has ever collided with the sky. *The propeller is just a big fan in front of the plane used to keep the pilot cool. when it stops, you can actually watch the pilot start sweating. *The only time you have too much fuel is when you are on fire. *Stay out of clouds. The silver lining everyone keeps talking about might just be another airplane traveling in the opposite direction. *You start out with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before emptying the bag of luck. *There are three simple rules for making a smooth landing. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.
HAPPY FLYING........

Howdy, BARCF members and fans,
I want to thank everyone who took part in our Father's Day Air Show. It went very well, with 20 pilots signed on and an actual head count of 245 spectators coming through the gate. And, no one crashed! The candy drops by Phil Shellabarger with his giant Telemaster were right on target, and the kids loved it.
Members are reminded that our annual Picnic and Float Fly is coming up on Sunday, July 22. The festivities start at 8 a.m. Get those float planes in shape and come on out for a great day of flying off the water. Bring your own service, your drinks, and a dish to share with the others. Hotdogs will be provided, too. Call Shirley Shellabarger (267-0871), Gloria Stump (267-7908), or JoAnne Jensen (888-2705) for more information on food.
See you all there,
